Happy Monday! I’m sure many of you are confused as to why I am so inconsistent when it comes to this blog and to be honest I don’t have an exact answer for you. Moving to California has been a lot more stressful than expected, and I needed to take the time to figure out what it was exactly I was looking for out here. Mind you, that’s another post for another day.

Today, I am twenty-two! I don’t feel a year older or a year wiser, but I have learned a lot in this past year and am anxious to see what lessons are in store for me next.

Here are twenty-one things I’ve learned being twenty-one:

1. It’s okay to be selfish sometimes

2. Let go of toxic friendships/relationships

3. If you’re not in love with it, don’t buy it

4. Do not speak out of anger

5. Apply for the job anyway

6. Move someplace new if you have the opportunity

7. Everything happens for a reason

8. Only your opinion of yourself is what matters

9. Bed bugs are no joke

10. Pay your bills on time

11. Breathe

12. Pay attention to what your body is telling you

13. Always kiss goodnight

14. It’s okay to miss and it’s okay to cry about it

15. Never doubt yourself

16. You can do anything, but you don’t have to do everything

17. Take your time

18. All you need is love

19. Ask a lot of questions

20. Respect and you will get respected

21. Have fun

Seriously, the most important is too have fun. Don’t take life so seriously! There is plenty of time to get your shit together and start acting like an adult but for now it’s time to live in the moment and just be. Isn’t that what feelin’ twenty-two is all about?
